Maryland Delta License Plate

We plan to submit our next order by Tuesday, November 30, 2021! 

Applications for Delta plates (i.e., MVA organizational plates) can only be obtained through Delta. They cannot be ordered online. Please click here for the instructions and form. Please note that the process will take approximately 8-10 weeks after the MVA receives requests for processing.

If you have any questions or plan to submit your form, please notify me via 1stvp@dstfwac.org.

Maryland Delta License Plate Instructions

The process is as follows:

  • Return the attached form along with the required fee ($25), payable to MVA at our chapter mailbox:  Fort Washington Alumnae Chapter, P.O. Box 1731, Temple Hills, MD 20757. DO NOT MAKE YOUR CHECK PAYABLE TO FWAC!
  • Please ensure you sign your form.
  • Soror President will sign off on the completed form.
  • The completed/initialed form and fee will be sent to Delta’s Maryland State Coordinator.
  • The State Coordinator will submit the completed/signed-off form and fee to MVA.
  • MVA will issue the plate. 

Sisterhood Month Paint Party

Please join the Membership Services Committee in celebrating Sisterhood Month on Sunday, March 17, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. for a Paint Party, food and fellowship!

2024 Chapter Retreat

The 2024 Chapter Retreat will take place Friday-Saturday, November 8-10, 2024, at the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Golf Resort, Spa, and Marina, Cambridge, Maryland.

2024 Chapter Retreat

The retreat fees are  single occupancy fee is $610, and the double occupancy fee is $405.  Sorors may pay via PayPal (with additional fees), cash, or check beginning the week of January 15th. To gather preferences, dietary needs, special accommodations, roommates, payments, and other details all attendees are required to complete the form at 2024 Retreat Payment Form. The required deposit to secure your space is $50. All deposits are due by  February 29, 2024, with final payments due by August 17, 2024. Bus transportation will be available for $45. A separate form is forthcoming to make payments. Please contact the Retreat Committee with any questions at retreatfwac@gmail.com.

2024 Retreat Survey

Your Opinion Matters! We invite you to let your voice be heard by participating in our 2024 Retreat survey. Share your thoughts, and help us make a difference. This survey consists of 28 questions designed to gather your honest feedback. We encourage you to respond based on your true feelings rather than what you think the chapter may want to hear. Your responses will play a crucial role in shaping our upcoming retreat workshops. Rest assured that all responses are completely anonymous. New Members Orientation

The orientation is designed for new or returning chapter members looking to create or strengthen  connections to the chapter. Come learn more about FWAC history, programs, and committees and discover the right place to use your gifts and talents in the chapter.

Cluster Program

Cluster Program: The PURPOSE of the Program is to promote sisterhood connections based on geographical proximity. You will have the opportunity to become familiar with those chapter Sorors who live in your community and neighborhood. Our intent is for every Chapter Soror to feel welcomed in the chapter and have a stronger connection to the sorority.

Program Goals/Objectives:

∆ Connect with Sorors who have similar interests and values

∆ Offer emotional support

∆ Strengthen sisterhood bonds

∆ Have FUN!!

DEAR Pearl Program

The purpose of the DEAR Pearl program is to pair a Delta DEAR with a Pearl, a younger Soror, to foster a sisterly bond and to ensure that our Delta DEARS are assisted as needed. 

The 2023 – 2024 DEAR Pearl Program is in full swing. Enrollment is closed. Do not hesitate to contact the Membership Committee POCs, Soror Brenda Bluford or Soror Elizabeth Bell.  Please refer to the Quicklist for their contact information or contact 1stvp@dstfwac.org if you need any further information.

Delta Dear Luncheon

Delta D.E.A.R.S. are members of Delta Sigma Theta’s sisterhood who have been blessed to reach the golden age of 62 years. Dedicated to upholding the ideals and traditions of their sorority, Delta D.E.A.R.S. set a standard of excellence in service, scholarship, and sisterhood. They truly are Dedicated, Energetic, Active, Respected, Sorors.
